PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material free of possibility of discoloration of a blank part, by using a basic dye and a specified color reaction agent compound. CONSTITUTION:At least one compound of formula I is used as a color reaction agent. In the formula, each of R1-R10 is hydrogen, a halogen, nitro, cyano, alkyl, haloalkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, aryl, alkenyl or aralkyloxycarbonyl, with the proviso that R1 and R2, R2 and R3, R6 and R7, or R7 and R8 may be linked to each other to form an aromatic ring. The compound of formula I has suitability for high-speed recording, and shows excellent resistance to a diazo developing liquid. A compound having such a structure is relatively difficulty soluble in a petroleum used for a diazo developing liquid, and this property develop, the above-mentioned effects. |
