PURPOSE:To permit easy production of a ceramic or metallic product having intricate shapes by injecting a molding material in a heated and fluidized state into a cavity defined by an insert and subjecting the material to degreasing and calcination treatment after solidification. CONSTITUTION:The insert 22 is inserted into a holding hole 21 of a moving side mold plate 12 and the moving side mold plate 12 is brought into contact with a stationary side mold plate 2 so that the cavity 5 is defined by the recessed surface 6 of the stationary side mold plate 2, the front surface of the moving side mold plate 12 and the shape imparting surface 23 of the insert 22. A binder is added to and mixed with the molding material 24 consisting of the powder of the ceramics or metal and the mixture is packed in the heated and fluidized state into the cavity 5 through an inlet 10 of a sprue 7. After the molding material 24 is solidified by cooling, the molding is parted from the mold and is heated up while the insert 22 is kept holding by the mold, by which the molding is subjected to the degreasing and calcination treatment.
