PURPOSE:To execute automatic setting work of a cylinder head core to a die by combining port cores, which plural suction and exhaust ports are integrately connected each by core print part, with water jacket core and having constitution, which the above combination is moved from a pallet to an upper die and positioned. CONSTITUTION:The port cores B, C, which plural suction and exhaust ports B3, C3 are integrately connected respectively by the core print parts B4, C4, are combined with the water jacket core D and preset on the setting pallet 19 and positioned on a setting arm 27. Next, the arm 27 is carried to the prescribed position between the upper die 2 and a lower die 3 under die opening condition, and after positioning in the upper die 2 by ascending the arm 27, sliding cores 9, 14 are closed to hold each core B, C, D to the upper die 2. After that, engagement of the cores B, C, D with the pallet 19 is released by descending the arm 27, and further, the arm 27 is retreated to the prescribed position. By this method, accurate setting of the cores into the die is executed and the setting work is robotized. |
