In the preparing method of ethyleneglycole by reacting methanol., formaldehyde and R-O-O-R' (R and R' are C3-12 alkyl or aralkyl) in liquid media, ethylene glycol is prepared by continuous addition of the total amount of formaldehyde and peroxide to liquid media containing methanol, in improved yield.
