PURPOSE:To obtain a large starting torque by a relatively small capacity inverter and to smoothly control the torque and the speed in high power factor in a full-speed range by combining a secondary current control and a regenerative control by the inverter. CONSTITUTION:A transistor 3 is turned ON, OFF in response to the output signal (i) of a speed regulator 12 to control the output current id of a power rectifier 2, thereby controlling the speed. A DC current charges a capacitor 5 through a diode 4 during the OFF period of the transistor 3. Then, a transistor 6 is turned ON, OFF so that the voltage of the capacitor 5 becomes constant. The current which flows during the ON period of the transistor 6 arrives at an inverter 8. As a result, the secondary power of a wound-rotor induction motor 1 is regenerated through the inverter 8 and a transformer 9 to an AC power source. |
