PURPOSE:To obtain a longer lifetime of charging and discharging and higher rapid charging-acceptability by employing an active material with density of 2.5-3.5g/cm<2> for positive and negative electrode plates. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode plate employing a grid made out of lead and antimony alloy including antimony of 2-3 percent by weight and a negative electrode plate employing a grid made out of lead and calcium alloy are provided. almost all of electrolyte is included in the positive and negative electrode plates and a separator made of minute fibers. Accordingly the electrolyte is substantially not fluid and the positive and negative electrode plates are charged with the active material with density of 2.5-3.5g/cm<2>. Therefore, the number of lifetime cycle is not decreased even if charging and discharging with much discharging are repeated so that rapid charging-acceptability is not deteriorated. |
