PURPOSE:To distribute the stress and suppress the cutoff and deformation of webs by sticking a metal thin film to one or both faces of a plate-shaped electrode raw material and concurrently press-forming the stuck plate-shaped electrode raw material and the metal thin film into a spherical shape with a press die. CONSTITUTION:A plate-shaped electrode raw material 8 having holes 7 partitioned by webs 6 with a fine width is prepared, and a metal thin plate 11 is stacked on both faces by bonding or the like to be integrated. Next, the raw material 8 stuck with the thin plate 11 is set on a press die 9, the die 9 is operated, and they are concurrently press-formed. In this operation, the thin plate 11 is brought into contact with the die 9 at a large surface when pressed, the pressing pressure is received by the whole surface, thus the concentration of the stress can be suppressed, the deviation of the tensile load directly related to the webs 6 can be prevented. The raw material 8 and the thin plates 11 with a triple structure thus obtained are separated from each other after pressing, and a spherical grid electrode 10 is obtained.
