PURPOSE:To allow a mirror body to easily pass a step, etc., in piping even if there is a bent part and a projection part in the middle of the piping by providing an insertion assisting part which is larger than the external diameter of a thin and long flexible insertion part to the tip part of the insertion part. CONSTITUTION:The insertion assisting part 6 which is larger than the external diameter of the insertion part 3 is provided to the tip part of the thin and long insertion part 3 formed by providing a curved part to the tip part 3a of the mirror body. If there is a step 41 such as a tube joint part in the middle of the piping, the curved part 4 of the insertion part 3 is placed in angle operation and the whole insertion part 3 is rotated at the time of inserting the mirror body. Then the cam-shaped part 10 of the insertion assisting part 6 contacts the internal surface of the piping to press up the tip part 3a of the insertion part 3, which is easily inserted without placing the curved part 4 in large angle operation. At the same time, if there is a projection on the internal surface of the piping, the whole insertion part is rotated to shift the insertion part tip part 3a to a position where it does not face the projection, and the insertion is easily performed. Consequently, the mirror body is easily inserted even if there is the bent part and projection in the middle of the piping.
