PURPOSE:To obtain a filtration apparatus enabling quick and efficient filtration treatment of an object to be examined, by constructing the apparatus in a manner that an object to be examined is supplied from a holder on to a filter and the cultured liquid and a treatment liquid, etc., are separated from the object to be examined through a negative pressure chamber placed under the filter. CONSTITUTION:An object to be examined is dropped to a holder 9 with a pipetting device composed of a cylinder, etc., and is pipetted on a filter 16. A negative pressure chamber is connected to a negative pressure generation means 15 to reduce the pressure in the chamber and a vacuum suction force is applied to the lower face of the filter 16. The cultured liquid and reagent liquid, etc., are passed through the filter 16 by the negative pressure and flowed into the negative pressure chamber. The object to be examined is captured in separated state on the filter. It is convenient to prepare a specimen from the object to be examined by using a film membrane as the filter 16 and supporting the filter with a filter-supporting plate 20.
