PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and simplify structure by using a common driving source for the lifting/lowering mechanism of a gate member, one-rotation control mechanism of a push-out belt, and driven rotation control mechanism of a stop roller. CONSTITUTION:A gate member 7 is placed in a lifted position when originals 4 are advanced by the push-out action of a rear end restricting board 5 and, as the front ends of the originals 4 arrive at the detecting position of a stack sensor 27, the gate member 7 falls by its own weight at a certain timing and placed on the originals 4. As the gate member 7 is lowered by the reverse rotation of a shaft 11 and falls on the originals 4, a clutch lever is separated upward from the projection of a spring clutch, which, in turn, is returned to its original position by the action of a housed spring, to restrain the rotation of a stop roller 22. Also, a push-out belt 20 is put around semicircular rollers 28, 29 and sucks a sheet on the lower layer by means of a suction fan. The semicircular roller 28 obtains its driving force equally to a paper feeding belt 21 from a main motor 100 via a one-rotation spring clutch.
