RECEPTION STATE DETECTOR FOR SATELLITE BROADCAST RECEIVER

PURPOSE:To detect a reception state easily by stopping the operation of an information signal designation means at the detection of reception state so as to make a signal subject to frequency conversion into a noise component of a band where no information signal in a broadcast signal exists. CONSTITUTION:When a reception satellite is changed, a data representing the position of a satellite is stored in advance in a RAM 50e, and a position data is read from a data map in the RAM 50e. Then the reception antenna is moved in a direction of a reception satellite and a frequency designation data signal corresponding to the reception channel of the reception satellite designated by a 1st variable oscillator 40 is outputted. Then the frequency band data of a noise component corresponding to the designated reception satellite and the reception channel is read from the data map in a ROM 50d and the direction of the reception antenna 1 is adjusted with high accuracy so as to minimize the output signal from an A/D converter 65.
