PURPOSE:To prevent the illegal use of a line by providing a pass word setting device and inhibiting the operation as a conventional terminal equipment till a correct pass word is inputted just after the application of power. CONSTITUTION:An MPU 1 is operated according to a program stored in a ROM 2 at the application of power supply. The MPU 1 applies the initial set to a ROM 3 and a display memory 5 and sets a display memory 5 to display the input waiting state of a pass word to a display device 6 thereby awaiting the input of the pass word from a keyboard 7. When the pass word and a section symbol are inputted from the keyboard 7, the MPU 1 compares the pass word inputted from the keyboard 7 with a number set in a pass word setting device 8 and when they are coincident, the operation as a conventional terminal equipment is executed. In case of dissidence, the said procedure is repeated till the correct pass word is inputted. |
