PURPOSE:To save power without causing hindrance to signal reception by interrupting power to a reception section, setting the power supply period to a time capable of being receiving a signal of the reception section and switching the signal into consecutive power feeding after the signal reception. CONSTITUTION:A switching circuit 6 is conductive at a time t1 and nonconductive at a time t2 to repeat the switching, and power is supplied intermittently by a reception section 4 while the time t1 is used as a power supply period. In receiving an infrared ray signal L, a photodetection section 34 executes the power supply control program from the front ridge after the arrival of a reception signal Vr at the feeding time t1 by a control section 18 to generate the 2nd switching signal SW2. As a result, the reception section 4 is in the feeding state after a prescribed time t3 from the reception of the reception signal Vr and kept to the consecutive operating state. Since the power consumption is saved, the capacity of the power supply 2 is reduced.
