PURPOSE:To securely control the turn of a pickup and to prevent a change in an angle with the optical axis of the pickup and an optical disk by providing a guide member and fitting it to the turning direction of the pickup so that the guide member can jog. CONSTITUTION:The pickup 13 is supported slidably and freely turnably on either of two guide rails 15 and 16 which are provided in parallel inside an optical disk device, and the guide member 17 which is slidably supported by the other guide rail 16 and which controls the turn of the pickup 13 is fitted to the turning direction of the pickup 13 so that the member 17 can jog. Thus, the turn of the pickup 13 can securely be controlled and the change in the angle theta with the optical axis 13d of the pickup and the optical disk 11 can be prevented even if vibration from outside is added.
