PURPOSE:To obtain a stable transfer image by forming transport passages on a contact plane at the point where a photosensitive material and a transfer roller start contact or the point where said contact is completed and in the space jointed with the space on the photosensitive material side with respect to the contact plane. CONSTITUTION:A transfer material is sent by a pair of resistor rollers 3, and introduced into a transfer part through a transport passage 6 formed so as to be led into a transfer part from a photosensitive material 1 side with respect to a contact plane (shown by the broken line in figure) at the point 1a where the photosensitive material 1 and a transfer roller 2 start contact, on the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive material 1. Similarly, the material is introduced into a pair of fixation rollers 4 through a transport passage 7 with respect to the contact plane at the point 1e where the photosensitive material 1 and the transfer roller 2 start separation. The incidence transport passage 6 and the taking-out transport passage can be provided with the above-described constitution only on the side where the force for generating tension is received. With such constitution, the distance and contact area between the photosensitive material 1 and the transfer roller 2 due to the tension of the transfer material are prevented from being varied, and a stable transfer image can be obtained.
