PURPOSE:To shorten the cycle time and to aim at saving the space of the factory by arranging support jigs for two parts to be assembled, simultaneously onto a pallet in a row, with a support jig for the other part being held therebetween. CONSTITUTION:For example, a pallet P of assembling a differential gear device is provided in its front section with a carrier set jig 20, in its center section with a drive pinion set jig 16 and in its rear section with a gear casing-ring gear set jig 30, and a carrier 1, a drive pinion 2, a gear casing 4 and a ring gear 5 are arranged in a row on the pallet P. Accordingly, during press-fitting of parts 1, 4, 5 in a fifth station, no interference between first and second press- fitting devices 51, 52, and third and fourth press-fitting devices 53, 54 occurs, and therefore, two-kinds of press-fitting can be carried out. Further, it is possible to commonly use a hydraulic power source. Thus, it is possible to aim at shortening the cycle time and at saving the space of the factory.
