摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the operating ratio of an automatically guided vehicle by setting reflection factors of a reflection plate provided on the rare end face of the automatically guided vehicle and a reflection plate provided on that of a trailer so that they are different from each other,. CONSTITUTION:Since a ratio of a maximum detection distance where a rear-end collision preventing sensor 4 can detect a next automatically guided vehicle 1A ahead to a maximum detection distance where it can detect a next trailer 9A ahead is determined in accordance with ratio of the reflection factor of a reflection plate 10 provided on the rear end face of the automatically guided vehicle 1 to that of a reflection plate 12 provided on the rear end face of a trailer 9, reflection factors of reflection plates 10 and 12 are properly set. If the next 1A ahead has the trailer 9A connected and is stopped, a following automatically guided vehicle 1B is stopped a length l1, which is narrow as much as possible, apart from the next trailer 9A ahead; and if the next vehicle 1A is stopped independently the following vehicle 1B is stopped a length l2, which is sufficient for trailer connection work, apart from the next vehicle 1A.
