<p>PURPOSE:To sufficiently remove lower aldehyde in liq. or gas by using an adsorbent, to which thiol group is introduced, as a functional group. CONSTITUTION:The lower aldehyde is adsorbed and removed by packing an adsorbent such as, for instance, an adsorbent which is obtained by introducing a thiol group (-SH) into styrene-divinylbenzen copolymer or an activated carbon to which the thiol group, etc. is introduced into an adsorbing tower and then passing the liq. or gas contg. lower aldehyde such as acetoaldehyde, crotonaldehyde or paraldehyde through said tower and bringing the liq. or gas into contact with the adsorbent. Then, the adsorbent may be added into a container contg. the liq. or the gas contg. the lower aldehyde and agitated or allowed to stand still.</p> |
