PURPOSE:To obtain a hair tonic composition having high safety and remarkable dandruff and itchiness suppressing effect, hair tonic effect and hair growing effect, by compounding oleic acid monoglyceride or linoleic acid monoglyceride as an active component. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains oleic acid monoglyceride or linoleic acid monoglyceride as an active component at an amount of preferably 0.01-10wt.%. The composition exhibits strong hair-tonic effect, suppresses the falling off of hair when applied to human scalp, converts thinned hair to thick and healthy hair and remarkably increases the growth rate of hair. The generation of dandruff is suppressed and the itchiness of scalp is prevented. Furthermore, it remarkably increases the growth rate of fur when applied to an animal. Since the active component is nontoxic to human and animal, there is absolutely no problem of safety in the present composition. |
