PURPOSE:To aim at the promotion of long service life, by using a spherical glass bead, whose surface is smooth enough, as a filler. CONSTITUTION:Glass is one that is suitable for a filler for resin formation if a proper type of composition, specific gravity, hardness or the like is selected, but in this case, a spherical bead, whose surface is smooth enough, is used in particular. Since this sphere has no projecting angle or ridge, stress distribution in a resin compact filled with this bead is gentle enough and there is no speed variation, therefore stress is not abnormally concentrated. Since mixture with resin powder before compaction is carried out so smoothly because of smoothness on the surface, a fact that this resin powder is uniformly dispersed in the compact is conductive to a relief of stress distribution. Accordingly, in this resin compact, any weak point attributable to a cause of abrasive grain falling is largely restrained, so that a grinding wheel bonding this comes to such one that is high in a utilization factor of diamond or CBN abrasive grains in addition to long service life.
