PURPOSE:To execute remote monitoring for an abnormality of a terminal by providing a time counting means for sending out a control signal to the terminal from a monitor station, and simultaneously, starting the time counting, and a deciding means for deciding the terminal to be a fault, in case an answer signal is not sent back within a prescribed time from the terminal to which the control signal has been sent out. CONSTITUTION:The titled system is constituted by providing a time counting means for sending out a control signal to a terminal 1 from a monitor station 4, and simultaneously, starting the time counting, and a deciding means for deciding the terminal 1 to be a fault, in case an answer signal is not sent back within a prescribed time from the terminal 1 to which the control signal has been sent out. At the time of sending out the control signal to the terminal 1 from the monitor station 4, the time counting means sends out the control signal, and simultaneously, starts the time counting, and outputs an elapsed time to the deciding means. The deciding means decides the terminal 1 to be a fault, in case an answer signal is not sent back from the terminal 1 to which the control signal has been sent out, within a prescribed time. In such a way, an abnormality of the terminal can be brought to remote monitoring without receiving an abnormality signal from the terminal.
