PURPOSE:To perform the storage, extraction and arithmetic processing of data at a high speed by storing the data to be calculated via a stack and at the same time setting a stack pointer at +1 and -1 in the storing and extracting instruction cycles of the data. CONSTITUTION:A stack STC consists of plural continuous registers S0-Sn and connected selectively to a pair of data buses BA and BB via gate circuits G1 and G2 which are controlled by control signals C1 and C2 respectively. One of those registers S0-Sn is designated by a stack pointer SP is connected to the bus BA or BB via the circuit G1 or G2. The pointer SP performs an increment action of +1 in a machine cycle of a data storing instruction and then an increment action of -1 in an extracting instruction cycle respectively by a control signal C5.
