CONSTITUTION:A responsive part 8 consists of a membrane 2 responding to gas to change in this resistivity and a plurality of electrodes 4, 6 brought into contact with said membrane 2. A part of the responsive part 8 is trimmed so that the resistance value thereof becomes a desired value at definite temp. in a definite gas concn. atmosphere. When other membrane like resistor is provided other than the responsive part 8, at least one of the electrodes 4, 6 is connected to the membrane like resistor by a conductor and a part of the membrane like resistor is trimmed so that the resistance value thereof becomes a value obtained by multiplying the resistance value of the responsive part 8 measured at the definite temp. in the definite gas concn. atmosphere by a definite value. By this method, even when this sensor is used in a gas leakage alarm, it is unnecessary to use an expensive variable resistor and cost can be reduced and the degree of freedom in the planning of a circuit can be also increased.
