PURPOSE:To enable printing on the face and rear sides of a slip and shorten the processing time required for issuing a passbook, by providing a mechanism for reversing the slip or the passbook face side rear on the basis of discrimination by a discriminating mechanism, at an arbitrary position in a feeding passage. CONSTITUTION:A face/rear reversing mechanism 10 is provided in a feeding passage 11. A slip or passbook fed in the direction of an arrow A is fed in the direction of an arrow B by driving a switching plate 17 to a position 17a. Then, the plate 17 is switched to a position 17b, and the slip or passbook located in a retraction feeding passage 20 is fed out in the direction of an arrow C by a driving roller 15, whereby the slip or passbook is reversed face side rear. A slip or passbook inserted in a wrong, reversed state is discriminated by an optical reading mechanism 4, and the slip or passbook is reversed face side rear by the mechanism 10. In the case of a slip to be printed also on the rear side thereof, printing on the rear side can be performed by reversing the slip face side rear after printing on the face side is finished. |
