PURPOSE:To form a transmission-type manuscript having a high printed density and free of errors in printing positions or color misregistering, by providing a transparent resin layer on one side of a transparent base sheet, and providing a transparent receiving layer for receiving a dye transferred from a thermal transfer sheet on the resin layer. CONSTITUTION:A transparent resin layer 2 is provided on one side of a transparent base sheet 1, a transparent receiving layer 3 is provided on the resin layer 2, and, if required, a back layer 4 is provided on the back side of the sheet 1. The sheet 1 is formed from a highly transparent and highly heat-resistant resin such as an acrylic resin, and the thickness thereof is preferably 30-200mum. The resin layer 2 lowers the stiffness of the sheet 1, ensures smoother feeding of a thermal transfer recording sheet on a printer, and enhances printed density through a cushionlike property. The resin constituting the layer 2 has a 100% modulus of not more than 150kg/cm<2>, and the thickness of the layer 2 is preferably 1-200mum. The receiving layer 3 is formed from a material which can receive an image of a dye, for example, a sublimable disperse dye transferred from a thermal transfer sheet, and can maintain the image formed through reception. |
