PURPOSE:To keep parallelism between a stationary platen and movable platen, by connecting a plurality of pinions turning through a relative movement of the movable platen to the stationary platen or a stationary frame by a pinion synchronous mechanism with one another. CONSTITUTION:Mold closing is performed by descending a movable platen 16 by supplying hydraulic oil to an oil chamber 48 of a mold clamping cylinder 42. Then mold clamping is performed by supplying the hydraulic oil further. When uneven reaction force through molds 11, 17 are acted upon the movable platen 16 and a stationary platen 10 at the time of the mold clamping, the movable platen 16 is tilted to the stationary platen 10. However, four corners of a stationary frame 12 and the movable platen 16 are connected by four rack and pinion mechanisms 34 with one another, and a pinion 36 is provided on the stationary frame 12 so as to turn integrally with a rotary shaft 54 by a bearing 52. When the vicinity of one rack and pinion mechanism 34 is apt to move more greatly than the other part, this turning force is transmitted to the other pinion 36. Therefore, the four pinions 36 are turned by the same amount always and parallelism of the movable platen 16 to the stationary platen 10 is kept always. |
