PURPOSE:To continue the safe operation without intercepting the processes by carrying out the transition from the operation control of a frictional continuously variable transmission by a speed controller to the operation control by a load controller, by using a circuit selecting device, setting a set load as boundary. CONSTITUTION:The revolution speed of the output shaft of a frictional continuously variable transmission 1 is detected by a detector 4, and compared with a set speed set by a setting device 6 in a comparator 7 through a converter 5, and speed control is performed through an amplifier 8, selecting switch 10, driving circuit 15, pilot motor 14, and a speed change ring 13. Further, a load controller which utilizes an electric motor 2 is constituted of a revolution speed detector 4a, frequency/voltage converter 5a, revolution speed setting device 6a for electric motor, comparator 7a, and a reversible amplifier 8a, and when the torque of the output shaft of a transmission 1 is sharply increased over a prescribed value, said increase is detected by the judging circuit 12 of a selecting device 9, and switching from the speed control to the load control is performed by turning-OFF the selecting switch 10 and turning-ON a switch 11. Therefore, the safe operation can be secured without intercepting the processes. |
