PURPOSE:To reduce the overhead of a microprocessor by storing a parameter into a parameter stack of the microprocessor when the parameters are delivered to the subroutines of different ring levels. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor contains the parameter stacks 101-104 for each ring level, the parameter stack pointers 202-205 for each ring level that work to give accesses to the stacks 101-104, and a parameter selecting part 201 for stacks 101-104. Then the parameters are stored in those tacks 101-104 when the parameters are delivered to the subroutines of different ring levels. Thus a stack copying job is omitted between rings.
