摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of unevenness in an air-fuel ratio, by a method wherein, in a device which reads a previously stored fuel amount to control the feed of fuel according to the opening of a throttle valve and the number of revolutions of an engine during failure in operation of an air quantity sensor, a mechanical type supercharger is rendered inoperative during failure in operation of the air quantity sensor. CONSTITUTION:During running of an engine, an ECU 20 discriminates whether an airflow sensor 14 fails in operation. When discrimination is NO, an opening time of a fuel injection valve 29 is computed based on outputs from the airflow sensor 14 and a number of revolutions of engine sensor 31 to control a fuel fed amount. Meanwhile, when the discrimination is YES, an electromagnetic clutch 17 is brought into an OFF-state to bring a supercharger 16 into an inoperative state. An electromagnetic valve 26 is brought into an ON-state, a suction negative pressure is introduced to a negative pressure chamber 24a of an actuator 24 to open a bypass valve 23. Further, according to current outputs from a throttle valve opening sensor 30 and a number of revolutions of engine sensor 31, an AN value is retrieved, and based on the value, a fuel feed quantity is controlled.
