PURPOSE:To obtain the titled miniaturized and lightweit circuit for a terminator by providing a detection circuit to a terminator absorbing reflection power from a load and interrupting power supply for a power amplifier when a reflected power detection voltage exceeds a threshold value. CONSTITUTION:A large power of a microwave band or a millimeter wave band from the power amplifier 2 is fed to a load 5 via a waveguide 3 and a circulator 4 or the like. Then the reflected power from the load 5 is absorbed by a terminator 6. Then the reflected power from the load 5 is absorbed by the terminator 6 via the circulator 4. A detection circuit 7 is provided to the terminator 6, the reflected power is detected and when a detection voltage exceeds a prescribed value or over, the power supply 6 is controlled by the circuit 7, the amplifier 2 is interrupted from the power supply 9 to apply protection and the detection of the reflected power. Thus, the large power transmission signal from the amplifier 2 is interrupted, the reflected power is limited and the terminator is miniaturized and the weight is reduced.
