PURPOSE:To perform the assembling, tack welding and main welding with one equipment and to reduce a man-hour, the working time and working space by assembling web material and flange materials in an I shape and afterward, performing the track welding and main welding. CONSTITUTION:After the web material (w) and flange materials (f) are assembled in the I shape by an assembling means 2, a girder is advanced and torches for a CO2 semiautomatic arc welding are set to corner parts of the web material (w) and flange materials (f) at the assembled material starting edges. The torches advance while restoring the positions of the flange materials (f) stored by a profile sensor from behind respectively and the corner parts between the web material (w) and flange materials (f)) are tack-welded on the right and left at the same time. Next, the girder is returned to the material starting edges and the preceding torch for welding and the succeeding torch for the submerged arc welding are welding are set to the corner parts between the web material (c) and flange materials (f) and the girder is advanced. The corner parts between the web material (w) and flange materials (f) are subjected to the main welding on the right and left at the same time while restoring the positions of the flange materials (f) stored by the sensor from behind.
