IDLE-RUNNING DETECTOR FOR ULTRASONIC PUMP

PURPOSE:To effectively detect idle-running by detecting the existence of an ultrasonic wave transmitted via fluid when the lower portion of an ultrasonic pump is immersed in the liquid staying in a vessel. CONSTITUTION:A shaft body 1 has an amplitude magnifying horn portion 4 and a disk portion 5 downward while piezoelectric elements 10A, 10B disposed upward. Ultrasonic vibration is diffused into liquid because of the action of an ultrasonic pump PM so as to be detected as an electric signal by means of an ultrasonic microphone MC. Therefore, it is possible to effectively detect whether or not the ultrasonic pump is in the idle-running state without any mechanical or electrical means.
