<p>The auxiliary snow chain device comprises a cage (1), an articulation shaft (9) about which can pivot a pivoting arm (2) equipped with a wheel carrying a plurality of chain lengths (38), and the connection of the cage (1) is effected by similar notched plates (4), one of which is integrally connected to the cage and the other to fixed elements (6, 7, 8) beneath the vehicle, in proximity to the driving wheel. These plates are connected either directly or via one or more tie bars forming a group of elements (5), each tie bar being provided with at least one notched plate. This fastening device at the same time permits a gradual, stepwise approaching of the position of the wheel (3) which must meet certain conditions. The final positioning of this wheel (3) is achieved by means of sleeves pushed over the ends of the pivoting arm (2). <IMAGE></p> |
