PURPOSE:To reduce the voltage drop of an auxiliary equipment at starting, by using a tapped transformer as an auxiliary transformer to supply power to the auxiliary equipment of large capacity. CONSTITUTION:When a selection signal 18a of an auxiliary equipment 7 starting from a computer 18 is given to a tap switch controller 17, the voltage drop portion is calculated from the impedance of an auxiliary transformer 13a and the starting current of an auxiliary equipment 7. The tap switching signal 17a is outputted to the auxiliary transformer 13a to raise the voltage of a power source bus 9. After it is confirmed by an output signal 16a of a voltage transformer 16 that the voltage is in the optimum value, a starting permission signal 17b of the auxiliary equipment 7 is sent to the computer 18. The voltage of the power source bus 9 can thereby start the auxiliary equipment 7 without decreasing to such a degree as will cripple the operation of other auxiliary equipment 5 and 6.
