PURPOSE:To reduce the size and power consumption of an electromagnetic actuator by providing a conductor at a V-shaped section formed on a base film, and forming an insulating film on an insulator, thereby forming an actuator body. CONSTITUTION:An actuator body 1 is formed in shape in which a plurality of spiral steps 2 are associated to connect bamboo springs, and provided longitudinally with an elasticity. 6 conductors 4 are provided at predetermined intervals on one side face of a base film 3 having insulating and elastic properties at the body 1. The conductors 4 are so provided as to extend in V-shaped direction when the body 1 is flatly developed, and a magnetic layer 6 and a protecting layer 7 are laminated. One of both ends of the body 1 is connected to an element to be operated, and a series circuit of a switch SW, a resistor R and a DC power source E is connected to the electrodes 10 of both ends. Thus, when the conductors 4 are conducted, a current and a magnetic field act each other between the conductors of the adjacent spiral steps 2 to attract each other to operate them.
