PURPOSE:To extremely thinly form a light diffusion layer and to improve various characteristics of a back screen by laminating a radiation curing resin compsn. prepd. by dispersing silicon oxide powder having an adequate refractive index with a binder and adequate grain size at a prescribed ratio into the binder in the form of a thin film having <1mm film thickness on the surface of a transparent substrate. CONSTITUTION:The light diffusion layer 5 is laminated on one main plane of the transparent substrate 4 of the flat plate-shaped back projection screen. This diffusion layer 5 is formed to <1mm film thickness of the compsn. prepd. by incorporating and dispersing a light diffusing agent 7 which is particles to scatter light into the radiation curing resin compsn. The thin light diffusion film is formed to <=700mum thickness and is formed to the shape of a lenticular lens. The compsn. having one arom. ring and one hydrogen group in the molecule or the radiation curing resin compsn. and contg. 20-70wt.% acrylate having an acryloyl group and prescribed ratio of other acrylate, etc., is used. The diffusion film layer of the back projection screen is formed by lamination of the extremely thin films.
