PURPOSE:To increase the pleasure in rowing a boat by allowing the oar of a boat to be operated in the attitude directed in the boat advancing direction. CONSTITUTION:An oar is constituted of a paddle part 1 and a handle part 2 in division, and the paddle part 1 and the handle part 2 are connected through a universal joint 15. The paddle part 1 is held onto the upper part of a fixed receiving board 12 installed onto a boat 13 by a multidirection turn holding tool 11 slidingly fitted by a horizontal turning pin, and the handle part 2 is held in free reciprocating shift onto the upper part of a receiving board 8 for shift which is fixed onto the boat 13. When the handle 2 is operated, the paddle is operated in the advancing direction.
