PURPOSE:To improve the operation performance by setting the intermittent operation starting time and intermittent operation cycle by one operating switch, by resetting a counting means when the output signals of the counting means and a memory means accord. CONSTITUTION:When the intermittent time is shortened, an intermittent switch SW4 is pushed, if a wiper is an repose state. The output signal is input into to the WR terminal of a memory 14, and the counting value in a counter 12 at that time is written into the memory 14. The counted value is input into a comparator 15, and an accordance output signal is outputted. A flip-flop FF4 is set, and a signal is input into a multiple serial conversion part 20, and a wiper motor is driven for the repose time shorter than the preceding repose time. When the intermittent cycle is to be prolonged, the switch SW4 is pushed during the wiper operation period. With such constitution, the intermittent operation starting of the wiper and the intermittent cycle can be set by only one operating switch.
