PURPOSE:To shorten the construction period by constituting the pivotal installation of a rudder onto a stern member from three processes by using a rudder needle inserted into a gudgeon drilled on the stern member through a bush. CONSTITUTION:A retaining plate 013 is fixed onto the undersurface of the gudgeon 09 of a stern member, and a rubber chute 016 is loaded onto the upper surface. In the second process, a bush 100 is concentrically fixed onto a sleeve 08 by inserting a plurality of spacers 1 at equal intervals into the gap between the sleeve 08 and the bush 010, and the bush 010 is fixed onto a rudder needle 05 through a fastening cable 2 and the bush 010 is loaded onto the rubber sheet 016. In the third process, the hardening type liquid resin 015 is poured into the gap between the inner peripheral surface of the gudgeon 09 and the outer peripheral surface of the bush 010, and the fastening cable 2 and the spacer 1 are removed. Therefore, the need of the axis center adjusting work is avoided, and the gap 011 between the sleeve 08 and the bush 010 can be easily adjusted, and the construction period can be shortened, and economical and safe pivotal installation of rudder of a vessel is permitted.
