PURPOSE:To rigidly connect an armature coil made of aluminum wires to segments of a commutator at the connector by composing the segments of copper pieces at slidably contacting faces with brushes, and of aluminum pieces secured onto the copper pieces extended from the contacting faces at the junction. CONSTITUTION:Segments 13 are composed of copper pieces 13a, and aluminum pieces 13b secured onto the pieces 13a at a junction 11b. The end of an armature coil 14 made of aluminum wires is ultrasonic-welded to the pieces 13b of the segments 13 at the junction 11b of a commutator 10 in the state that the end is slightly protruded from the piece 13b to axially slidably contact face. Since resin powder 15 is so covered on the junction 11b as to bury the end of the coil 14 secured to the piece 13b, the bonding to the segments 13 to the junction is conducted aluminum-to-aluminum, thereby obtaining a sufficient bonding strength.
