PURPOSE:To improve the performance of a noise filter by forming an air gap at the center of layers from the coil of second layer, winding coils by splitting, and providing leading terminals of the coils at both ends to reduce the distributed capacity of a choke coil and to increase the attenuation amount of a noise in a high frequency band. CONSTITUTION:The first layer of a choke coil 2 starts winding from a center 3, is so wound in contact that the residual parts of the winding at both ends of a core 1 become substantially the same, the second layer is folded from both the ends of the core to be wound, and the third layer is further folded at the center to be wound toward both ends. With such a configuration, an air gap 4 is formed at the centers of the layers from the second layer, and the leading terminals 5 of the coil 2 are disposed at both ends. Accordingly, the distance of the led section becomes maximum. Thus, the distributed capacity of the choke coil decreases, the inserting loss of a high frequency band increases to largely provide the attenuation amount of a common noise, thereby improving the performance thereof.
