发明名称 STEEL WIRE MATERIAL FOR REINFORCING OPTICAL FIBER
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve workability as steel products for reinforcement by heating an optical fiber reinforcing steel wire or steel stranded wire to a temp. within a specific range to release hydrogen and loading tension within the specific % range of tensile strength to the wire during heating to straighten the wire. CONSTITUTION:The wire material 1 for reinforcement in an optical unit B consisting of the wire material for reinforcement 1 and the optical fiber 2, and the steel stranded wire is heated to 200 deg.C-600 deg.C after the final stage of wire drawing or the final stage of wire twisting, respectively to release hydro gen. The load of 20%-95% of the tensile strength is loaded in some cases on said material during heating to straighten the material, by which the wire material to improve the workability in the later cabling stage is obtd. The tensile strength TS of the steel wire or steel stranded wire to be used is required to be specified to 100kg/mm<2=TS<=250kg/mm<2> to improve the effect as the material for reinforcement.
