PURPOSE:To obtain a highly functional composition, having a remarkably low Young's modulus and excellent strength as well as elongation characteristic, by blending a specific two kinds of polyimide precursors. CONSTITUTION:A polyimide composition obtained by blending (A) a polyimide precursor prepared by reacting 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl sulfide with pyromellitic dianhydride with (B) a polyimide precursor obtained by reacting 4,4'- diaminodiphenyl ether with pyromellitic dianhydride at 95/5-5/95, preferably 4/1-1/9 molar ratio [(A)/(B)] of the components (A) to (B). Furthermore, a siloxanediamine, such as 1,3-bis(3-aminopropyl)tetramethyldisiloxane, etc., in an amount of 1-6mol.% based on the total amount of the amines may be blended to improve adhesive properties.
