PURPOSE:To improve the handling property of an image forming device without uselessly using recording paper by abutting recording paper on a resist roller even if abnormality is generated during the period from the start of paper feeding up to the abutting of the recording paper upon the resist roll, and stopping an image forming process. CONSTITUTION:A system controller 1 in the image forming device controls respective units in the device, a scanner 3 reads out an image and an image processor 29 processes the read image in accordance with a mode. A printer 11 forms an image on recording paper based on the image obtained from the processor 29. In case of continuously forming images on recording sheets by the device, the recording sheets are previously abutted on the rollers 14a, 14b in the printer 11 before a command for moving the rollers 14a, 14b from the controller 1 to remove the positional shear of the image to be formed. When abnormality is generated in the controller 1 or the scanner 3, the controller 1 or the scanner 3 is reset to improve the operability of the device. |
