发明名称 METALLIC VAPOR LASER OSCILLATING TUBE
摘要 PURPOSE:To widen an effective high-temperature region in an inner tube made of ceramics so as to obtain good efficiency output, by winding a heat insulating material around the peripheral part of the inner tube made of ceramics and making a heat insulating characteristic in both right-and-left end vicinities of the heat insulating material superior to the heat insulating characteristic in the central part of the heat insulating material. CONSTITUTION:An inner tube 1 made of ceramics, in which metallic particles are disposed, is supported by an outer tube through O rings 12 and bellows 13, and is supplied with a buffer gas for discharge. Discharge plasma is formed to vaporize the metallic particles by applying a high voltage across an anode and a cathode, which are installed on both ends of the inner tube, so that the vaporized metallic particles are excited by free electrons in the discharge plasma and laser oscillation is performed. In such a metallic vapor laser oscillating tube, a heat insulating characteristic in both right-and-left end vicinities 20a of the heat-insulating material 20 wound around the peripheral part of the inner tube 1 made of ceramics is made superior to the heat-insulating characteristic in the central part 20b of the heat insulating material. Accordingly, both the right-and-left end parts can be heat insulated without raising the temperature of the central part more than needed, so that an effective high-temperature region can be widened.
