摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain excellent light emission property by constituting an electrochromic EC layer of a plasma polymerized film consisting of hydrocarbon compound and setting up the ratio of the number of carbons having unsaturated bonds to the number of carbons having no unsaturated bond a specific range. CONSTITUTION:The EC layer 24 formed by the plasma polymerized film consisting of hydrocarbon compound is formed on an ITO electrode film formed on a 'Nesa glass', i.e. glass substrate 26. The 1st panel 101 consisting of the transparent substrate 26, a transparent electrode and the EC layer 24 is opposed to the 2nd panel 102 obtained by forming an opaque or transparent electrode 22 on a transparent electrode 21 and a solid state electrolytic layer 23 is held between the 1st and 2nd panels 101, 102 to constitute an ECD. The ratio of the number of carbons having unsaturated bonds to the number of carbons having no saturated bond is set up to 1:1-1:0.2 in the plasma polymerized film of the EC layer 24. The electrolytic layer 23 is constituted of a binder type layer obtained by dispersing alkali metal salt such as KCl into high molecu lar resin having ether radicals containing elements having large electro- negativity.
