PURPOSE:To prevent an electrolyte from being leaked by providing a round rubber membrane on a positive electrode-case having air-supplying holes so as to close the supplying holes by rising of a pressure following the increase in a volume inside a cell when the cell is discharged on account of the very humid atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Air-supplying holes 2 are provided at the inner-bottom part of a positive electrode-case 1 and an air-diffusing member made of a rubber membrane 3 is formed. When a cell is discharged, the air entering through the holes 2 passes through a slots provided on the membrane 3 and a water repelling membrane 4, then diffuses in an air-electrode 5. A separator 6 made of a membrane having pores is provided on the electrode 5 and the electrolyte consisting of a negative electrode-zinc 8, and potassium hydroxide is charged between the separator 6 and a negative electrode-case 7. When a cell is discharged in the very humid atmosphere, the pressure inside the cell rises by increase in the volumes of the negative electrode 8 and the electrolyte, and the holes 2 are pressed and closed tightly. Therefore, the electrolyte is prevented from being leaked from the air-supplying holes and reliability of the cell is improved. |
