PURPOSE:To stably maintain a developing process at all times by using an alkaline developing soln. contg. water as a main solvent by setting the development temp. in a 1st development zone at the temp. higher than the development temp. in a 2nd zone. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material is processed by using a substantially unused developing soln. in at least one developing zone of the developing zones 1a, 1b at two points. Setting of the development temp. in the 1st development zone at the temp. higher than the 2nd development temp. 1b is permitted by providing heaters 7, 7' which are temp. control means to the developing soln. to be supplied to the zones 1a, 1b. The developing process is thereby stably maintained and the laboriousness of replenishing the developing soln. is eliminated in the case of processing the photosensitive material, more particularly the photosensitive material consisting of a non-silver salt resin by using the alkaline developing soln. essentially consisting of the water. A uniform finish is thus obtd. economically even if a small amt. of the developing soln. is used. |
