PURPOSE:To eliminate horizontal deviations, namely, deviations in matching of centers of a platen and a head due to the rotation of a conventional eccentric bush, by providing a platen-paper guide unit with an adjusting eccentric for adjusting the gap between the platen and the head. CONSTITUTION:Eccentrics are provided on the left side and the right side of a platen-paper guide unit, and a spacing unit is mounted in the state of being pressed against the eccentrics. The gap between a platen and a head is adjusted by rotating the eccentrics while pressing the spacing unit against the eccentrics. The rotation of the eccentrics affects only the movements of the spacing unit in the directions of arrows, so that the gap can be adjusted without generating deviations in the matching of centers of the platen and the head.
