PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a defective article by forming the recessed shape of the portion where glass chips remain so that glass chips are made easy to drop. CONSTITUTION:An end form bulb 1 and a flare 2 to be sealed are set on a mount pin 3, the periphery of the flare 2 is burnt by a gas flame 4, and the burnt portion of the flare 2 is stuck by pressure to the bulb 1 by a butting collar 6. Glass chips generated when the flare 2 or the bulb 1 is broken drop on the collar 6 face by the shape of a burner tip 7 and are automatically cleaned by air or other methods, thus the clogging of the tip 7 can be prevented effectively. Accordingly, the occurrence of defective cracks caused by the attachment of glass chips can be prevented.
